THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AUSTIN
The University of Texas at Austin campus operates a combined heat and power (CHP) plant with a 135 megawatt power capacity. The single largest electrical load on campus is the cooling system that provides 45,000 tons of air conditioning to the campus. This campus energy system provides 100% of the electricity and heating for the university’s main campus.
In 2014, HanAra professionals replaced the existing historian software with HanPrism. The HanPrism data migration tool migrated every single piece of data from 2009 to 2015, representing approximately 10,000 points.
KOREA SOUTH-EAST POWER
KOEN is one of the largest energy companies in South Korea. KOEN generates electricity for metropolitan areas and the southern region and serves approximately 10% of the annual net electricity generation in South Korea.
HanPrism was installed in 12 KOEN plants and its headquarters. Operational data from each plant is collected and integrated into the KOEN headquarters’ HanPrism server. And though nearly 35% of the plants are geographically distant from the headquarters, HanPrism allows KOEN to easily collect and integrate all data from each plant to improve the reliability and availability of every facility.
TNB GRID
Tenaga Nasional Berhad is the largest electric utility in Malaysia, providing electricity to Malaysia’s businesses, homes, and industries. TNB’s Grid Division manages and operates the 132 kV, 275 kV, and 500 kV transmission network and 439 substations, focusing on efficient and intelligent electricity delivery.
In 2014, TNB Transmission headquarters installed HanPrism which receives data from the EWS, creating a powerful and innovative data infrastructure that enables TNB to utilize its increasing pool of data to achieve operational excellence.
