AUSTIN, Texas – HanAra Software and its parent company BNF Technology now provide an ODBC driver to enable third-party applications to receive real-time and historical data from HanAra solutions. Equipment data has the potential to provide insight into operations and actionable intelligence regarding asset health. By connecting business intelligence platforms with their equipment data coming from HanPHI and HanPrism, organizations access and analyze equipment data at anytime and anywhere.

HanAra’s ODBC driver supports snapshot, aggregate, sample, and archive data requests. With this addition to HanAra’s offerings, users query equipment data to combine with other data sources for further analysis and visualizations.

  • Snapshot Data: returns as an instantaneous value at the given timestamp and can be real-time or historical data. Snapshot data provides the tag name, values, quality, and last changed timestamp.
  • Aggregate Data: returns statistical data from the HanAra historian within a defined time duration. Aggregate data includes Min, Max, Average, Integration (check others), Quality Factor, and Count.
  • Sample Data: returns fixed interval time series data requested for a particular duration with the given resolution. Sample data includes Raw, Minimum, Maximum, Min-Max, Interpolation, and Count values.
  • Archive Data: returns values written or archived into the HanAra historian. They are only changed values and stored into the historian as per the defined tag deadband. Archive data can be for a specified duration or from the current time to a past time.

As organizations continue their digitalization journey, it is important to not only generate data but also access and analyze the data to enable data-informed decision making. With the addition of an OBDC driver, HanAra provides a data management platform that improves data access and gives its users the necessary tools to analyze, visualize, and collaborate.
